Fiddler's Blog

Hi, my name is Jenne and I have known Michael Hall for a little over a year now. I was never much into the fiddle, as this was not the type of music that I would have listened to before we met.
Michael Hall loves to play the fiddle and is a wonderful musician and has opened my world to a whole new level of music. I have met some wonderful people. All who have a talent, that I never would have imagined being a part of my life.
Although it may still not be the number one music that I would listen to, I feel it is something everyone should give a chance to because you really don't know what you are missing and how much fun it can be until you give it a try.
Michael was born and raised in New Brunswick. He was first introduced to Celtic music by his father at a very young age. His father hails from a small community in Newfoundland called Three Rock Cove. Celtic music was a really big part of there lives growing up and still is today. At the age of nine, Mike was already playing the button accordion and experienced his first hands on exposure to the Celtic Music by the influences of his uncle's on his father's side. From there, it wasn't long before he picked up the fiddle, And grew an even bigger love for the music and what it had to offer to people. At the age of fourteen Michael put out his first album playing the button accordion, guitar, and bass. While promoting his album Steppin'er Out he gained a lot of recognition for his talent throughout Eastern Canada and parts of the Eastern United States including New York and New Hampshire.
Mike now lives in Sydney and plays often in the Cape Breton area but is willing to play for anyone who has the same appreciation and love of music as himself.
If you get a chance to listen to him play, I recommend this as he is a great musician and really has a way of catching your attenction when he plays.

Thank you for reading my blog :)
